The Climate of Crete
The climate is generally gentle and healthy with mild winters and hot summers in the coastal areas. The weather in April is sweet and pleasant and few times the sunlight is suddenly replaced by light rain. In October it rarely rains and the weather is still warm. May and September are generally sunny, but not extremely warm. The summer however is quite hot with June and July being the hottest months of the year and without rainfall. In the mountainous areas the temperature is lower.
